What is Design Sprint?

Design Sprint is an agile product development process that allows the creation and testing of a prototype in just five days.

Design Sprint was developed by Jake Knapp and his colleagues at Google Ventures. Its origin dates back to an effort to accelerate the design and validation of ideas within startups and product development teams.

The process is typically divided into five key stages, each corresponding to a day of the workweek.

A small cross-functional team is required to work on the project, with roles such as the facilitator and decision maker being crucial.

Define the product goal and set realistic objectives.

Generate a variety of solutions and ideas through individual and group sketching sessions.

Evaluate and select the best ideas to follow, creating a storyboard for the chosen solution.

Build a high-quality prototype that can be tested with users.

Present the prototype in front of real users to collect feedback and validate the concept.
