What is Sprint Planning?
It is the first event of a Sprint where the iteration's scope is planned.
Event
Sprint Planning is the first event of a Sprint and lasts a maximum of eight hours for a one-month Sprint.
Purpose
This event serves to establish the Sprint Goal and plan the work necessary to deliver the Increment.
Focus
It involves the entire Scrum Team, with the Product Owner and Developers collaborating to select work from the Product Backlog that can be done in the next Sprint.
Outcome
The outcome is a Sprint Backlog, a forecast of the functionality that will be developed during the Sprint, and a Sprint Goal.
Timebox
The event has a limited duration to ensure it does not consume too much time.
